Attention all proud “parents” and talented photographers! If you have a great holiday photo of your dog to share, enter our contest and it can featured on the Animatch web site for everyone to enjoy! Submission deadline is November 30th and winners will be announced 2 days after!

Success Story

Ardis, Mike and family recently adopted two dogs from Animatch on separate occasions. Scrabble came first, having met and fallen for him at an Animatch event. 6 months later, the family met Stitch who was being fostered by an Animatch volunteer in their neighbourhood – and the rest is history! Both dogs adjusted well into the family, and Aris and Mike were more than happy to make small changes to their home to adapt to life with two energetic and cuddly dogs, namely a new fence for the backyard, and a king-sized bed so that there’s room for everyone to sleep comfortably!

Ardis, Mike et famille ont récemment adopté deux chiens Animatch. Scrabble est arrivé en premier, ils l’avaient rencontré et tombé en amour avec lui à un événement Animatch. Six mois plus tard, la famille a rencontré Stitch qui était adopté temporairement par une bénévole Animatch dans leur voisinage – pas besoin d’en dire plus ! Les deux chiens se sont bien intégrés à la famille, et Aris et Mike étaient heureux de faire quelques ajustements à leur maison afin de s’adapter à une vie avec deux chiens énergiques et affectueux, principalement une nouvelle clôture pour la cour arrière, et un lit « king » afin qu’il y ait assez d’espace pour que tout le monde dorme confortablement !

Yoga, a 3 years old Beagle Female

Hi everybody, I’m Yoga and I’m the new Beagle Girl at the Centre. I was picked up as a stray and have spent the last three weeks cooped up most of the day waiting for my owners to come looking for me. It didn’t happen. Oh well, better days ahead; I’m not gonna loose any sleep over them.

Allô, je suis Yoga et je suis la nouvelle fille Beagle du Centre. J’ai été ramassée errante et j’ai passé les dernières trois semaines enfermée quasiment toute la journée, attendant que mes gardiens viennent me chercher. Ce n’était pas le cas. Et bien, ça ira mieux ; je ne perdrai pas de sommeil pensant à eux.

Muffin, a 3 years old Terrier-X Female

Hi, my name is Muffin and I am a 3-year-old, shy, Terrier-X. A little over a week ago, I was so happy because I thought I was going for a car ride—I love car rides! When my owner stopped the car, I didn’t recognize the place but I thought we were just going for a visit.

Allô, mon nom est Muffin et je suis une femelle Terrier-X, gênée, âgée de 3 ans. Il y a environ une semaine, j’étais si heureuse parce que je pensais aller pour une promenade en auto—j’adore les promenades en auto ! Lorsque mon gardien s’est arrêté, je n’ai pas reconnu l’endroit, mais je pensais qu’on allait simplement pour une visite.

Lili, a 6 years old Lab x Boxer Female

Lili will be 6 years old on November 1st and she has been with us for two months. She was given up because of a child’s allergies. Lili has come a long way since her arrival. She has lost a few pounds with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Lili aura 6 ans le 1er novembre et elle est avec nous depuis deux mois. Elle a été donnée à cause d’allergies. Lili a fait du chemin depuis son arrivée. Elle a perdu quelques livres avec une diète-santé et l’exercice régulier.

Volunteer Profile

Gabriela has been volunteering for Animatch for a year and a half, and is motivated by the simple idea that one day organizations like Animatch will no longer have to exist because people will finally show animals the respect they deserve. In the meantime, she is proud to lend her marketing and fundraising skills to Animatch, who brought her beloved Irish into her life. Along with Irish, Garbriela shares her home with her husband and Schnarda, a Mexican Miniature Schnauzer. Gabriela loves the positive energy of her fellow volunteers and is happy to help out in any way she can.

Gabriela est bénévole chez Animatch depuis un an et demi, et elle est motivé par la simple idée qu’un jour, les organismes comme Animatch n’auront plus raison d’exister parce que les gens respecteront finalement les animaux qui le méritent tellement. Entretemps, elle est fière de partager ses connaissances en marketing et levées de fonds avec Animatch, qui lui a amené sa bien-aimée Irish. En plus, Gabriela partage son foyer avec son mari et Schnarda, un Schnauzer Mexicain Miniature. Gabriela adore l’énergie positive de ses amis bénévoles et elle est heureuse d’aider autant qu’elle peut.
