DARPA Network Challenges Marks 40th Anniversary of the Internet
DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Agency, has created an interactive contest to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Internet. The contest requires participants to locate 10 balloons hidden around the continental United States. Google's Vice President & Chief Internet Evangelist and IADAS Member Vinton Cerf, played an integral role at DARPA which eventually lead to the development of the Internet as we know it.
Google Launches Music Search Option
Google announced last week the debut of a music feature to it's roster of specified search options. The service aims to change the way people search for and purchase music online.

Colbert Nation to Sponsor Men's Speed Skating Team
Stephen Colbert, host of the Colbert Report and 2008 Webby Person of the Year, stepped-up to sponsor the US Men's Speed Skating team after Dutch bank DSB failed to make any payments to the team.
Colbert told the Associated Press "On their enormous billboard thighs, it will say, 'Colbert Nation'. Be looking for that logo as it comes around the final turn. It will be easy to see because it will be in first place."
